Salon Avec Moi is turning 1!
This sweet classical music ride is having its first birthday and we're celebrating by having an artist favorite - open mic style. And in Salon Avec Moi fashion we want to do as much as we can for our community so we're opening a sliding scale ticket option to donate to G.L.I.T.S.— a Black trans-led advocacy and direct services organization that is dedicated to fighting systemic discrimination against marginalized communities, in New York City and beyond.
This salon is tucked away in our own little moment with a cash bar so you can enjoy spirits unlike a usual salon and play a game of pool (or just take pictures with it). And yes, we'll have a cake to blow out the candles for 1 year together before the evening is through.
Please note this isn't a typical salon where drinks are included in the price of your ticket but there is a cash bar if you choose to imbibe.
We want you in your birthday suit (clothing required). Wear your best garb to celebrate and look good while you're doing it. Inspiration here.
Please note this event is 21+ age guests only.
This is an OPEN MIC style salon!
If you want to perform!
Below you will find a sign-up sheet for classical artists and two slots designated for musical theatre singers to perform with the accompanist during the evening. The sign-up is first come first serve—once the slots are gone they’re gone! Please note that if you are performing you do not have to pay for a ticket for the evening; however, if you bring a guest they are required to purchase one and will not be let into the event unless they have done so.
LINK TO PERFORMANCE SIGN-UP HERE (Available at a later date. Will be announced on Instagram)
If you can no longer perform please send notice—slide in @salonavecmoi’s DM’s on Instagram, email Karlye at salonavecmoi@gmail.com and/or remove yourself from the sign-up sheet to allow someone to fill your space.
Let’s talk about the ticket cost
The price of this ticket ensures 10 artists get to attend the event and have an accompanist at no cost to them. Thank you for helping Salon Avec Moi provide a space for them and us all to do what we are supposed to do with the arts—to play and have fun.
